Good to know

  • Board Member covers Director, Member and Officer. They all have the same access, except that only Directors and Members approve motions.
  • Manager / Staff are non-voting staff, such as property managers, general managers and executive directors. They have the same access as Board Members, except that they can’t approve motions or see documents tagged Board Only.
  • Special / Professional is for outside professionals such as accountants and auditors. They see agendas, approved minutes and documents (except Board Only and Board & Mgrs Only), and can upload documents and search with Find. They can’t see actions or be assigned one, and only see events and polls if they’re invited.
  • Private document tags. Documents tagged Board Only are seen by the board, Admins and the Recording Secretary, and hidden from managers, Special / Professional users and owners / members. Documents tagged Board & Mgrs Only are also seen by managers, and hidden from Special / Professional users and owners / members.
  • More than one position. People can hold several positions and get the combined access of all of them. For example, an Admin who is also a Director can be assigned actions through the Director position.
  • Seeing how people voted is set on each poll, not by role. Public polls show every vote. Private polls show none.
  • Owners / Members means the organization’s general membership, such as unit owners. It is not the Member board position.
